Metropolitan +Archbishop Cyril-Mark was elected to lead this community the Ancient Orthodox Catholic Church (AOCC).  This community is the descendant of  "ECOCW"  which is the blood descendent of the American Orthodox Catholic Church chartered in 1927 by Metropolitan Platon and later led by Aftimios Ofiesh of Brooklyn, New York  and eventually recognized as the Holy Eastern Orthodox Catholic and Apostolic Church in North America.

AOCC ELECTS A NEW  Metropolitan+Archbishop Cyril-Mark

SUBJECT:  Special AOCC Synod Meeting Agenda

REFERENCE:  SPECIAL  CECOCW SYNOD MEETING  2/19/2020

ATTENDENCE:+Archbishop Mar Dawad,+Archbishop Gregory,+Archbishop Cyril-Mark,+Bishop Anthony,+Bishop John-Mark

OLD BUSINESS:

A Special Meeting of the CECOCW Holy Synod met on 2/19/2020 wherein the Metropolitan Scholarios retirement was announced  2/14/2020 and was made +Metropolitan Emeritus in same meeting. In referenced meeting the name “ CECOCW” was changed to Ancient Orthodox Catholic Church (AOCC).  Which is now the  descendant of the “CECOCW’ which is the direct blood descendant of the American Orthodox Catholic Church chartered in 1927 by Metropolitan  Platon and later led by Aftimios Ofiesh of Brooklyn, New York and eventually recognized as the  Holy Eastern Orthodox Catholic and Apostolic Church in North America.  The Vicar General was directed to convene the Election of the New Metropolitan.

NEW BUSINESS:

+Archbishop Mar Dawad Vicar General convened the Election of the New Metropolitan:

1. The  Synod meeting begin with traditional Orthodox Evening Prayer and the Scriptures for the Day.
2. +Mar Dawad outlined the purpose of the Synod and ask for nominations for the Metropolitan of the AOCC/OCOC.  +Gregory nominated +Archbishop Cyril-Mark to be the Metropolitan of the AOCC/OCOC, there were no other nominations and the vicar General gathered consensus.  + Archbishop Mar Dawad ascertained the readiness of  + Archbishop Cyril-Mark to accomplish all the work and responsibilities of the Metropolitan, + Cyril-Mark answered in the affirmative and it was unanimous.  +Cyril-Mark was elected Metropolitan of the AOCC/OCOC.  Axios, Axios, Axios.
